Trip requests
When you send the request form we store what you entered (name, email, phone, preferred contact channel, travel dates, travellers, islands, travel style, requested services, your message, the language you used and the time of your consent) in this website’s database at our hosting provider Cloudflare. We also store your browser identifier and, to limit bulk requests, a pseudonymised form (hash) of your IP address, which is deleted after an hour at the latest. You receive a reference number. Through the email service Resend the request goes to our partner agency in Tahiti and an acknowledgement is sent to you.
Drafts on your device
While you fill in the three-step form, a draft is kept only in your browser (localStorage) so nothing is lost. It is not sent to us. It is deleted after you submit; before that you can remove it at any time with “Delete saved draft”.
External contact links
Links to phone, email and WhatsApp, where shown, open the respective service only when you click them. No messaging widget is loaded with the page.
Maps and videos
The location map on accommodation pages loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org) only after you click “Load map”; the OpenStreetMap Foundation then receives your IP address. The link “Open in Google Maps” leads to Google. Videos are embedded via youtube-nocookie.com and play only after a click; data is then transferred to YouTube (Google). This website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Translation of the site’s texts
Texts entered in the site’s back office may be translated by an automatic translation service that runs on the infrastructure of our hosting provider Cloudflare. No visitor or request data is sent to it.
Retention and your rights
Your request stays stored while it is processed and the trip that results from it is handled; requests are archived after twenty-four months. For access, correction or deletion of your data, write to the operator at the contact details in the legal notice. The controller is Miguel Rego, operator of the site (see legal notice); the partner agency processes the request data in order to answer it.
